SBI PO Syllabus 2018 & SBI PO Exam Pattern

SBI PO Prelims Examination Pattern
The SBI PO Prelims will be an objective test of 100 marks. While the student will be allotted 1 mark for each correct exam, ¼ will be deducted for the incorrect answer as the negative marks. The examinations, which will have 3 major sections, will last for a period of one hour.

SBI PO Mains Examination Pattern
The second stage of examination, which will be given by the successful candidates of the prelims exam, is known as SBI PO Mains Examination.
This examination contains two important stages, which are known as objective as well as descriptive test. Both the stages of the examination have been discussed below.
- Objective Test
The first part of the SBI PO Mains examination is known as an objective test, which is for 200 marks. The exam comprises four important parts, which are Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and interpretation, English Language and General Economy or Banking Awareness. The exam, which has the total time of 2 hours 40 minutes, will be divided into 4 different parts for each topic.

- Descriptive Test
The second part of the SBI PO Mains examination is a descriptive test, which will be immediately conducted after the completion of the objective test. Candidates will be given 30 minutes for the examination, which is of 50 marks in total. This test is aimed at testing the candidate’s skills on the letter and essay writing. It is important for the candidates to score the passing marks, which will be decided by the examination authority of the State Bank of India. The authority will be checking the papers of the descriptive test of the candidate, who has scored well in the objective test.
