Staff Selection Commission is conducting Combined Graduate Level(CGL) Examination 2017. This leads to recruitment of various posts in Ministries. Once the exam is conducted successfully the commission will first release the answer key so that the candidates can cross check their answers and estimate their rank. Afterwards the cut off marks will be published on the official website. Only those candidates who have qualified the first tier exam will be eligible to apply for the second tier. Cut off marks will be released tier- wise.

The SSC CGL cut off marks are the minimum marks that the candidate need to score to qualify each stage of the examination and become eligible to apply for the next stage. The cutoff will be released in 3 phases i.e Tier I, Tier II and Tier III and the final cutoff. After taking into consideration of all the important elements like categories wise number of vacancies and number of candidates, the first Tier cutoff will be released. And those candidates who have secured equal or more than the cutoff marks will be shortlisted for the Tier II exam.

SSC CGL 2017 Overview Of Cutoff Dates

Aspirants who are preparing for the SSC CGL 2017 exam must keep in their mind the last few years of cut off marks. Although there is no sectional cutoff in this exam, but SSC in Tier II will fix cut off score for each paper as well as in aggregate.

The first tier cut off will be released in the month of October followed by the second tier cut off in January 2018. And then the final cutoff will be released in March/April tentatively. All the cutoff will be released along with the result of each tier.

SSC CGL 2017 Result

Candidates who have enrolled for SSC CGL 2017 must be working really hard to get their name in the final merit list. How To Download SSC CGL Result

The SSC CGL result of all tiers will be available in a PDF file. This PDF states the roll number and the name of the qualified candidates. Here are the simple steps you need to follow to check your result.

  • Log on to the official website of SSC CGL which is ssc.nic.in
  • Click on the result button on the top of the home page.
  • Look for the SSC CGL 2017 result and click on it.
  • A PDF file will open in your screen.
  • To specifically find your roll number in the list just press Ctrl+F and enter your roll number in the required place (for chrome).

# SSC CGL 2017 Tier I Result

This year the first tier of SSC CGL 2017 will be conducted in the month of August. Only those candidates who will secure the SSC CGL cutoff marks released by the commission as per different category will be shortlisted for Tier II exam. The Tier I result is expected in the month of October. The scores obtained by the candidates in tier I will be released within 7 days from the date of deceleration of SSC CGL result.

# SSC CGL 2017 Tier II Result 

The second tier consist of 4 papers. The Paper 1 and Paper 2 of Tier I are compulsory for every aspirant to attend, but Paper 3 and Paper 4 is only for those who have applied for the post of Statistical Investigator and Assistant Audit Officer  in CAG respectively. The result of Tier II will be declared in January 2018. On the basis of Tier I and Tier II marks the commission will draw a merit list listing names of those candidates selected for Tier III and IV.

# SSC CGL Tier III 2017 Result 

The Tier III of SSC CGL is a descriptive test which is scheduled on January 21st 2018. This test will be of 100 marks and candidates have to score minimum 33% to qualify. On the basis of marks obtained in SSC CGL tier III the result will be announced in February 2018.

#SSC CGL Tier IV / Final Result

The last tier is a Computer Proficiency Test(CPT) and Data Entry Skill Test(DEST) is conducted for only those candidates who have applied for the post of Tax Assistant(Central Excise and Income Tax), Assistant Section Officer of CSS, Assistant Section Officer(MEA), Assistant(SFIO) and Assistant(GSI). This test is qualifying in nature.

SSC CGL 2017 Merit List

The staff selection commission releases the merit of SSC CGL exam separately of every tier. The merit list of Tier I will contain names of only those candidates who have qualified the the first round and are selected for Tier II. Similarly Merit list of Tier II and Tier III are released after the successful completion of the exam.

The finial merit list of SSC CGL 2017 will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtain by the candidates in the written examination and the post preference. Candidates must also remember that the marks obtained in Tier I will be taken into consideration for final ranking in selecting candidates for CPT/DEST and for final merit list.
